Delivery, Refunds and Returns Policy
Our delivery, refunds and returns policy is outlined below.
Ceramics
Collection
If you have selected to collect your item(s) from our studio, please wait for an email confirmation of when we are available for you to collect. Our standard processing time is 3 working days, but if you need your order sooner, please pop us an email at info@throwtofire.co.uk.
Collection of your product(s) is available from our studio; 20 Withdean Court Avenue, Brighton, BN1 6YF.
Once you have collected your item(s) we are not liable for any damage caused by yourself or others to your product(s).
Delivery
Order processing time
Once an order has been received, we will ship your item(s) within 3 working days unless you have been advised otherwise through a notice on our website.
UK Shipping
We use Royal Mail 48 for all UK orders. Shipping Mon-Sat*.
Pricing starts at £5.50 and increases in increments depending on the number of items purchased.
*orders must be placed before 18:00 GMT Monday to Friday and please note that during busy periods it may take a few extra days to process your order.
US Shipping
Shipments to the United States include all applicable tariffs, which are prepaid through Royal Mail’s PDDP (Postal Delivery Duties Paid) service. This ensures a smoother delivery process and minimizes the likelihood of unexpected customs fees upon arrival.
All orders are fully tracked, and tracking information will be provided once your order has been dispatched.
The estimated delivery timeframe to the USA is 5–15 business days, though this may vary depending on customs processing and seasonal demand.
While import duties are calculated as accurately as possible and included in the shipping fee at checkout, any additional charges incurred after dispatch or upon entry into the USA remain the responsibility of the customer.
Once your order has been transferred to the shipping carrier, we cannot be held liable for any additional costs, delays, losses, or damages that may occur during international transit.
EU Customers
Due to the new GSPR law issued by the EU, we will be unable to ship to the EU and Northern Ireland after the 6th December 2024. We hope that this is a temporary situation and that something will happen to solve this problem. But for now, we are unable to fulfil the criteria (cover the cost of appointing an economic operator within the EU).
International Shipping
We use UPS or Royal Mail. Shipping Mon-Fri.
Packaging Materials
We strive to reduce waste and the use of excess packaging where possible, however, packaging ceramics does require quite us to use quite a lot of material! All orders are packaged in a sturdy cardboard box, with sustainable paper packaging to secure your item(s) during transit. Everything you see in the box has either been reused or is recyclable. Please re-use where possible.
Returns & Refunds
Returns are only accepted if the wrong items are accidentally shipped to you or if they arrive broken. If this does occur, please contact us via email at info@throwtofire.co.uk providing your order number and images of the goods received. If required, futher information will be given to you at this stage on how to return the item.
Return claims must be made within 24 hours of receiving a damaged item.
Please understand that shipping costs are not refundable in any case.
Custom-made orders and discounted items (samples and seconds) cannot be returned.
Order cancellations
If you made an order by mistake, you have 24 hours to cancel. Please send a clear email at info@throwtofire.co.uk with your order number. We will email back to confirm receipt and issue a refund. Please note that refunds may take up to 30 days to process.
Liability
Throw to Fire does not accept any liability for lost or damaged possessions and will not be liable for any loss suffered by you resulting from any event which is beyond the reasonable control of Throw to Fire.
Pottery Lessons
Refunds
If you qualify for a refund you are able to request one. Refunds may take up to 30 days to process. Unfortunately we are unable to refund for courses booked using gift vouchers but we can hold it on account for up to 6 months.

Pre-order Refunds
You can request a refund at any time up until the release date of the content. No questions asked.
To request a refund, please log in to the school and use the Contact form in your profile menu, or email us directly at info@throwtofire.co.uk with your name and order number. Refunds will be credited back to the original payment method within 7-10 business days.
Refunds
We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee under the following conditions:
- You must request a refund within 14 calendar days of the purchase date.
- You must not have completed more than 20% of the course content (based on the progress tracking in the platform).
- You must demonstrate that you have reviewed the material and it did not meet your expectations, potentially by showing completed assignments or providing specific feedback.
We reserve the right to revoke access to all course materials if a refund is granted. To initiate a refund request, please contact us at info@throwtofire.co.uk.
