Takeout Cup, Sage Mishima
This handmade ceramic takeout coffee cup is part of the Maker’s Collection, a series of small batch pieces that explore surface, pattern, and process.
Designed as a reusable alternative to disposable takeaway coffee cups, this piece features a sage mishima design. Fine lines are carved into the surface and inlaid with sage-coloured clay, creating a subtle contrast within the clay body. Each cup is finished by hand, making every piece slightly different.
The cup is wheel-thrown in our chalk stoneware clay and finished with a transparent gloss glaze, creating a smooth surface while allowing the inlaid pattern to show through clearly.
A small drinking hole is built into the top, designed for ease of use while helping to reduce spills. The lidless design keeps the form simple, easy to clean, and suited to everyday use.
With a capacity of approximately 300ml (10 fl oz), it’s well suited to your daily coffee.
